Hey Tell me about Puerto Lobos. I know it is small. How do you get there and how are the roads ? Is there boat launching without a 4 wheel ? Places to park an 35 ft 5th wheel ? Bars and restuarants?

I only know of someone who knows someone who has a place down there. I understand it is rustic and a four wheel drive is a must until the coastal highway comes by. Therefore, I doubt RVs could make it in but I do not know that for sure. They do have launchers in town but it is not uncommon to have to swim to shore and track him down at the end of your boating trip. I do know the fishing can be fantastic within 5 miles from shore.

My Ex's Ex has a place there. As I understand it, it is still quite a ways from becoming a tourist destination. I know he has had some vandalism problems from the locals. I'll ask my Ex more questions if anyone wants...NOT.

No road no go ! Just a litle to rustic-not much.
Anyone know of anything a little getter that is still cheap? I will want to pull the 5th wheel and boat.

There are some very affordable lots NW on the new coastal highway. Las Lagrimas or Lopez Acevez areas are 10-15 miles out of town and are still very inexpensive. No utilities yet though.

Well let's count the potental problems.
Be real careful on the new road
There are big problems with Playa Carina. The Developer(Hartwig) is fighting with his partners. Investor or lot owner is the crux of it I here.
The water table makes it nearly impossible to do a septic system even 3 rows back
The town lights the dump on fire It is romantic at sunset after yoga

Did you notice that the extended discussion with a US Border Patrol officer at the in Nogales on their way down was at a checkpoint entering Mexico? I've never seen a US checkpoint when entering Mexico there??

I wondered the same thing and never had anyone in the border patrol speak to me like that. Poetic license perhaps?

2 miles of dirt road whichwe will maintain . no beach front lots we are an rv park with 50x 60 foot lots fifth wheel can be left there year round or not.water and septic are there already. as well as electric when we get some people to acomodate the large generators use. we will run it for a couple of hours in the morning and at night to recharge batteries . at present we have small generators and solar panels. lots are 250 meters back from the water and have 7 kilometers of near deserted beach adjoining La Pinta across the bay from the myan palace.

Is this the rv park just past the compound that the sunset crusie people built (the ones that had the catamarans with the belly dancers)....can't remember their names???? I remember hearing that someone bought their property....does anyone have info on that. They had 2 rows of small homes that were built for each of the family members (a bunch of brothers/sisters...several married to Mexican women).

we own the property all of the way to the facility you are talking about. some one bought the compound. don't know who and they aren't doing any thing with it.

If this is an RV park what are the rates and what about boat launch service? Is the ocean visable from the sites.

That's surprising....I was out there at least a year ago, when the previous owners were clearing out...caught one of the daughters locking up the place. She didn't get into specifics on the compound, but she indicated that their sunset cruise boats were split up to different owners. I recall that they had originally intended to do scuba instruction out there, with a small pool.

As far as the rv park, I don't believe that you can see the water from the sites....but I could be wrong. When the tide goes out, you probably have several hundred yards to drive to launch. Been stuck out there once or twice!
